A little bit about the artist

Pirouetting Heart Art Studio
Launch Fall 2022
Hello you,
I'm Jen.

This place, this shop, is so dear to my heart. I have dreamt of opening an art shop/gallery/studio/ "atelier" ;) since I was a little girl. I am so thankful for the many times/ways I have been able to gift and even at times sell some of my art over the years. But, I have never been able to focus on studying & developing it as I have over this past year and prayerfully will be able to continue to do so in the coming years (James 4:15, however few or many they may be).

After almost 20 years of being a stay at home wife & mama, then adding wedding/event coordinating to my days for the last almost 9 years, I am now back at home & with my husband and I approaching an empty nest soon it seems I am walking into the season to finally do this, to open an art studio! (albeit online ;) )

I have also always believed that we are all creative in some way, so one of my hopes for this place it that it inspires you to create as well!

After all we are created in the Image of our Creator! He is The Master Artist. I have always been inspired by the beauty that remains within the broken creation around us -the "other worldliness" of a sunrise or sunset, an ocean filled horizon - from spring's first sprouts and budding blossoms of renewed life to the vibrant greens and full garden abundance of mid summer ..the rainbow of colors to be found within a midwest autumn, followed once more by the soft blanket of a winter's snow. He did not hold back as "painting" this beautiful world into being ...the spectrum of color among His image bearers, the grandness of a complex Mountain or Sea scape, down to the tiniest of details on the back of a bug :) He even left His fingerprints on those things unseen to our naked eye!! His artistry is "simply" amazing to me!

I don't presume to even come close in my renditions/representations - but, oh how i long to render a glimpse of His glory!

I will continue to study/practice in Still Life ("Be still" collections) and Plein air Landscapes as able, utilizing graphite, watercolor, acrylics and oils, whatever my hand can find to do so.

I will also be taking portrait and other commissions as able.

Other Commission examples: Bridal Bouquets, or wedding day portraits, a portrayal of your garden &/or home

Side note: I have been commissioned for murals in the past, I will not be offering this service at this time, but, may be up for it at a later date.

I hope you find joy & inspiration in viewing these pieces - and that perhaps there may be one, or more pieces you would like to make your own, or to gift to another.

w/Prayers and Blessings!

in Him,

Jen (aka Pirouetting 🤍)
